Course Objectives: The student will demonstrate a knowledge of the elements of design and two-dimensional composition through studio practice.

Course Content: Students complete and present 5-8 projects that relate to concepts introduced in class.

Method of Presentation: Lectures, demonstrations, discussions, critiques and individual consultation with instructional unit.

Method of Evaluation: Evaluation is based on completion and presentation of assigned projects, improvement, and overall disposition of completed artwork. Additional criteria include attendance and contribution to classroom dynamic.
