Course Objectives: *Students will understand that multiculturalism and diversity are processes. *Students will challenge themselves and others about their own culture and world views; thus prompting personal growth in a supportive environment. *Students will become aware of salient issues for underrepresented groups on college and university campuses.

Course Content: This one (1) credit hour course focuses on the various multicultural perspectives of underrepresented groups on the college campus. Students will be encouraged to (re)examine their own personal biases as they seek to gain a greater understanding and learn from those whom are different from themselves.

Method of Presentation: Lectures, readings, discussions, and in and out of class diversity experiences.

Method of Evaluation: Reflective journals, participation, attendance. This is a pass/non-pass course.
