Course Objectives: Introduction to astronomy through studying the solar system.

Course Content: Physical nature of the sun and its family of planets, satellites, comets and minor bodies; gravitation, light and telescopes.

Method of Presentation: 4 lectures per week

Method of Evaluation: Three midterm exams, comprehensive final exam
