Expertise: 20th- & 21st-century U.S. literature the Bible and literature sexuality studies
Norman Jones, Associate Professor of English and English Department Coordinator, received his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles and his BA from Yale University. He teaches courses in 20th- and 21st-century U.S. literature, film, and the Bible. He is co-editor of The King James Bible after Four Hundred Years: Literary, Linguistic, and Cultural Influences (Cambridge University Press, 2010) and the author of Gay and Lesbian Historical Fiction: Sexual Mystery and Post-Secular Narrative (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007). Recipient of the Mansfield campus 2010 Award for Excellence in Scholarship, he has published essays and reviews in American Literature, MFS: Modern Fiction Studies, and Christianity & Literature. He is also the Mansfield campus advisor for the Sexuality Studies Minor.
