Job Description:
Work in a fast paced Convention & Visitors Bureau learning many facets of the tourism industry. The Mansfield/Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau is an independent, not-for-profit organization created to promote travel and tourism to the area. The Bureau is committed to promoting the areaâ€™s facilities, attractions and events as a destination for visitors, resulting in increased business activity and the improved quality of life for Richland County. With the upcoming summer travel season, the Bureau will be busy with a WIDE variety of activities and events. That is the fun part! From motorsport races to festivals, there is always something going on and there is never a dull moment!

Duties:
Intern may assist in marketing and sales including updating databases, researching leads and fulfilling information requests. The intern will also assist with special events, projects and research relating to Conventions and Group Tours, as well as the tourism industry in general.

Qualifications:
Major in Marketing, Tourism, Travel, or Hospitality. College Junior of higher. Ability to work at least 10 hours or more per week (hours are flexible. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess a professional attitude with good phone etiquette. Team player, resourceful, proactive and detail oriented. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access (PowerPoint a plus).

Hours: Flexible; min. 10 hrs per wk.
Pay: Unpaid
