John Conard, husband of Pearl Conard, helped the University in many ways prior to his death in 1982. He was an advisor to the Department of Ceramic Engineering, a member of the President’s Advisory Board and the Mansfield campus Citizens Council, and a friend of several University presidents. Together with this wife Pearl, he contributed toward the purchase of land for the Mansfield campus. He received the Distinguished Service Award from Ohio State in 1979.

ALL-OHIO JURIED EXIHIBITION REGISTRATION INFORMATION

ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS – Slides or CD’s must be labeled with the artist's name, title, size, medium, entry identifiers (A, B, and C), and "top." Include an SASE for return.   Complete the entry cards (EXCEPT JUROR'S SECTION).  Forms may be duplicated.  For questions, call (419) 755-4283 or 755-4255.  Deliver or mail to the Pearl Conard Gallery, The Ohio State University at Mansfield, 1680 University Dr., Mansfield, OH 44906.

FEES AND DEADLINE - Non-refundable -- $7.00 per entry (maximum three entries).  Make checks payable to The Ohio State University at Mansfield. Slide entries deadline: Friday, Feb.23, 2007.

JURORS – Fri. Mar. 2.  TBA

MEDIA – All media, except large installations.

ELIGIBILITY - Entrants must actually reside in Ohio.  Works must have been completed within the last year. The gallery reserves the right to reject submitted works not meeting exhibition standards, such as works not properly matted or framed, those that differ significantly from slides; and those of inferior craftsmanship.

AWARDS - Best of Show - $1,000, Jury Award - $500, Honorable Mention Award - $300, and the Student's Choice Award - $200.

SALES - The gallery deducts 30% commission from the sale price. If not for sale (NFS), indicate its value for insurance.

LIABILITY - Trained gallery attendants will handle all work.  Nominal insurance covers works while on display only at the Pearl Conard Gallery. Artists are responsible for repairs, loss, and damage for works in transit.

DELIVERY - Mailed works must be received by Fri., March 17 and hand-delivered works the week of the 13th by 4 p.m. and from 1 - 5 p.m. on Sat., March 18. Important!. Include appropriate return postage or prepaid arrangements, adequate packing, and insurance.  Entry tags must accompany all pieces.  Please use sturdy picture wire; absolutely no saw-tooth hangers.

PICK-UP OF WORK – Works may be picked up Fri. Apr. 13, 5 – 6 p.m. or Sat., April 14, 10 a.m. – 3  p.m.  (Artists unable to pick up their work must make suitable arrangements.)  Mailed works, which include postage, will be returned within two weeks.  Those without return postage or left behind will be discarded.
