Important Message: Semesters

The Ohio State University is changing to the semester calendar beginning with the Summer Session, 2012. If you will be graduating after Spring Quarter 2012, you will be graduating under semesters.

The change to semesters will bring changes in course numbers, curriculum guides, and degree requirements.

You can begin your planning by checking your college/major’s website for the following information:
 

• Updated semester curriculum guide for your major.
• Updated list of approved general education classes for your major (may be given on degree audit).
• Go to DARSweb on your Student Center and do a “Semester Degree Audit” that will convert your quarter courses to semester courses and outline your remaining degree requirements with semester courses.
• Visit My Switch for additional information.
• Read the Semester Conversion Pledge.
   

Before registering for Summer or Autumn Semester (before the end of Spring Quarter) you need to:

• Attend a semester planning workshop for your major or have an appointment with your academic advisor to obtain updated curriculum planning information and do a semester degree audit.
   

The academic advisors at OSU Mansfield will be providing semester updates as they become available from the academic departments in Columbus and will be assisting with transitional degree audits in a series of workshops. Announcements of workshop dates and times will be posted on the Mansfield Campus Advising web site, through emails, and on campus bulletin boards. Please get in the habit of checking your OSU email frequently during this transition time.
